4th Grade Star Designs
The 4th Grade Students at Franklin were given a small star to trace. Using this star they created a unique design. They were then given markers to add color to their drawing.
2nd Grade Dog Portaits
The second grade students at Franklin School created Dog or Cat Portraits using shapes. We used crayons to add colors to our drawings.

Stain Glass Winows
These wonderful pieces of art were made by the kindergarten classes. Students used scrap cut paper to create a background and then cut black square and round "windows" and glued them on top of the mosaic backround.

Monsters in a Bottle
Famous People Portraits
The 4th graders always write a biography about a famous person in their regular classroom and we have started creating a portrait of that famouse portrait in the art room.
What's been happening.....
These were monoprints from acrylic plates that were done with clinical student, Lindsey Smith, in the 3rd grade art class.....The students learned about the printing process and also complimentary colors. The students used tempera paint to trace their drawing on the acrylic printing plate three times and print on one of each complimentary set of colors. The students then used chalt in the complimentary color to add to the black line print. Awesome job!!!
